Paaq

Started by four college friends, Aamir Peeran, Mueez Ahmad, Zeeshawn Abid, and Hatim Qadri, they have created an online store, have sold out several of their original collections, and are growing a social media presence via Instagram.
Paaq focuses on highlighting the successes and struggles of South Asians immigrants, which is highlighted through their apparel. Some of their collections have featured South Asian cultural symbols and art such as poetry, traditional patterns, and popular culture references which all highlight their commitment to their brand.
Collection: "Green Card"

The name of the collection alludes to an experience that many immigrants are very familiar with when immigrating to the United States. The collection speaks to the successes and challenges that many people of the South Asian diaspora have faced, how they continue to stay connected to their culture, and what they left behind in their home countries.

“Devon Avenue"
This piece is a tribute to the famous Devon Avenue in Chicago, which is known for South Asian owned restaurants, boutiques, and stores. It resembles any ordinary bustling street in the South Asian subcontinent, and creates a sense of place for South Asian immigrants. Devon Avenue symbolizes the successes of South Asians in the US in creating hubs of businesses but it also shows what many immigrants have left behind.
Customers can enjoy Paaq’s clothing for their beautiful designs, quality, and style but they also can emotionally connect with the deeper stories behind the products and can feel represented while wearing them.
